Erasmus+
YMTE is actively engaged in European cooperation through its Erasmus+ projects, which play a key role in advancing the organisation’s mission.
The current Erasmus+ KA210 project (2024–2026) focuses on strengthening the connection between pre-college music education and higher music education.
Objectives
- Develop a shared European reference framework for pre-college music education
- Define key competences, learning outcomes, and quality standards
- Improve alignment and transition between educational levels
Activities and Approach
The project brings together YMTE, partner organisations, and member institutions in a collaborative research effort. Through surveys, mapping exercises, and analysis, it explores the diversity of educational systems across Europe.
Expected Outcomes
- A comprehensive report on pre-college music education in Europe
- Updated competence frameworks aligned with higher education requirements
- Practical guidelines for curriculum development and policy
By addressing gaps between educational stages, the project contributes to a more coherent and effective pathway for young musical talents.
